Phase I Overview
- Budget: Rs46 billion
- Facilities: Includes cancer care clinics, state-of-the-art equipment, residences for doctors, solar sheds, parking, inns, and restaurants for patients’ relatives.
- Initial Bed Capacity: Increased from 100 to 150 beds
- Phase II Expansion: Capacity to add over 280 beds in the future.
Ensuring Medicine Supply and Proposals for Specialized Hospitals
Efforts are ongoing to ensure a steady supply of medicines across all health centers and hospitals in Punjab. The CM also evaluated proposals for establishing a specialized hospital for bone marrow transplants and initiating a free insulin program.

Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology Sargodha
The CM directed the immediate commencement of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha and reviewed plans to outsource angiography services.

Establishment of Field Hospitals and Medical Colleges
Field hospitals will be established in every tehsil, with a special lift service already operational for patient convenience. Simli TB Hospital will be converted into a General Hospital. Additionally, medical colleges will be established in each district through public-private partnerships, with 50% of students admitted on government merit.
Digital Records and Eye Hospital Management
The installation of an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system in primary and rural health centers has been completed. The Government Data Durbar Eye Hospital will be managed by the Auqaf Department.
